    Sanguine??? Yup...That's Me!

Chris brought home two copies of a Personality Test last week as part of his Men's Fraternity Class at church.  His assignment was to fill out one for himself, and one for me.  Of the four personality types presented in the survey (Sanguine/Choleric/Melancholy/Phlegmatic), I am overwhelmingly sanguine (65% in that category).  The word sanguine actually refers to blood which is life.  So this type of personality is considered "lively and cheerful".  When I looked at the "strengths" of this personality type, I was like..."Wow!  That's me! How wonderful!".  On the contrary, the "weaknesses" weren't so pretty.  "Gets angry easily, Undisciplined, Fickle and Forgetful, Dominates Conversations"...those of you who know me well are laughing right now!  Let me tell you...THE TRUTH HURTS!
Then again, we all have strengths and weeknesses.  The purpose of personality tests like these is to make us aware of who we are, and to help us improve.  The reason that the Mens' Fraternity class participated in this excercise was to help them see where they were in comparison to their wife and to help them learn how to relate to her better.  I thought that was awesome!
I thank God that He has given us all our own unique personality and that no matter where we fall in the spectrum, He can use each and every one of us for His glory!
